Welcome to QUITEL-2005 in Venezuela

El Comité Organizador del QUITEL-2005 tiene el placer de invitarles a participar en el próximo Congreso Internacional de Químicos Teóricos de Expresión Latina que se llevará a cabo en la Isla de Margarita, Venezuela, del 2-6 de Octubre del 2005.

Continuando con la tradición de que cada exponente habla en su propio idioma (portugués, español, francés e italiano) estamos seguros que este Congreso será nuevamente un punto de encuentro para la Comunidad de Químico Teóricos de expresión latina.

Como cada país anfitrión presenta sus propias características de acuerdo a sus intereses, presentamos a continuación las del Congreso QUITEL-2005:

• La selección de invitados se realizó tomando en cuenta la representación equilibrada de diferentes países latinos, y la alta relevancia de sus investigaciones en Química Teórica.

•  Aunque es imposible incluir todos los tópicos relacionados con la Química Teórica , se consideran diferentes áreas de gran interés general: Fundamentos Teóricos; Líquidos y Emulsiones; Espectroscopia; Moléculas Biológicas y Farmacología; Dinámica y Cinética; y Catálisis y Superficies.

•  Se han invitado alrededor de 50 Conferencistas (5 Conferencistas Plenarios), todos ellos de alta calidad científica, como lo confirman sus recientes publicaciones y su Currículo Vitae. El tiempo previsto para el Congreso impide que todos los participantes tengan la opción de presentar sus trabajos oralmente, por lo tanto, tenemos también Secciones de Posters para darle oportunidad a que todos exhiban y discutan sus logros científicos.

•  Se ha escogido un sitio turístico con las facilidades de un Hotel o Resort para realizar el Evento. Esto encarece un poco la parte logística del Congreso. Sin embargo, queremos que sea de alta calidad y al mismo tiempo que el sitio de reunión sea lo más agradable posible.

•  Varios invitados latino-americanos residentes en USA y de la Canadá Francesa se han incluido en el Programa, a fin de estrechar, estimular, y aumentar la interacción de estos con colegas latino-americanos, europeos y estudiantes.

•  El sitio del Congreso presenta costos de alojamiento y comida que no son altos, en comparación a los precios internacionales. .

•  Una mayor interacción de los estudiantes asistentes con los investigadores se ha canalizado a través de la inclusión de tres secciones de Mesas Redondas Estudiantes-Profesores en el Programa del Congreso.

Confiamos que visiten frecuentemente esta página web, la cual estaremos modificando al añadir nuevas informaciones sobre el sitio del Congreso y algunas recomendaciones.

  

The organizing committee of QUITEL-2005 has the pleasure of inviting you to participate in the next International Congress of Theoretical Chemists of Latin Expression. This congress is going to be held in Margarita Island , Venezuela , in October, 2-6 of 2005.

Following the tradition that each expositor speaks in its own language (French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish) we are sure that this Congress is going to be, once more, a point of meeting for the Theoretical Chemists of Latin expression community.

As each sponsor country, presents its own characteristics, according to its interests, we give, as follows QUITEL-2005 Congress's ones:

•  The guess speakers' selection was made taking into account the average representation of different Latin countries, and also the relevance of theirs research in Theoretical Chemistry.

•  Although is impossible to include all topics related to Theoretical Chemistry, different areas of great general interest are considered: Theoretical Fundaments; Liquids and emulsions; Spectroscopy; Biological Molecules and Pharmacology; Dynamics and Kinetics; Surfaces and Catalysis.

•  Almost 50 conferencists have been invited (5 Plenary lectures), all of them, of high scientific quality, as confirmed by their recent publications and their curriculum vitae. Time for the congress isn't long enough for all participants to have option to present their work in oral mode, therefore we have a Posters Sections to give the opportunity to all to exhibit and discuss their scientific achievements.

•  A tourist place has been chosen with Hotel or Resort facilities to celebrate the event. This makes the logistic of the congress, more expensive. However, we hope the meeting place to be of high quality and at the same time pleasant.

•  Several Latin-Americans residents in USA and French Canada have been included in the Program, in order to tighten, increase and stimulate their interaction with Latin-American, European colleagues and with students.

•  The Congress place presents hotel and food prices that are not high, compared to international prices, particularly, because it is going to be held in low season.

•  A major interaction of students with the researchers has been oriented with the inclusion in the Program of three Sections of round tables students-professors.
