El Laboratorio se creó en 1976 como parte del Centro de Biofísica y Bioquímica (CBB) del Instituto Venezolano de Investigaciónes Científicas (IVIC). Los proyectos que realiza el personal del Laboratorio se orientan hacia el aislamiento y caracterización de productos naturales neuroactivos. Estamos particularmente interesados en contactar estudiantes de pre- y post-grado deseosos por desarrollar una carrera científica en el área de neurotoxinas y compuestos neuroactivos.
 

The Laboratory was created in 1976 as part of the Biophysics and Biochemistry Center (BBC) at the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research (IVIC). The projects carried out by the staff of the Laboratory deal with the isolation and characterization of neuroactive natural products. We are particularly interested in contacting undergraduate and graduate students interested in developing a research career in the area of neurotoxins and neuroactive compounds.
